Basic product prototype complete. The clock is able to display the current running time (in hours, minutes, and seconds) and the current date (day, month, date, year).

Using the buttons, it is possible to:
Set the time
Set the date
Set the alarms (1 general alarm and 1 dedicated alarm for each day of the week)
Set the snooze button duration (01-30 minutes)
Turn the night light on and off
Activate snooze when the alarm is ringing
Turn off the alarm if the alarm is ringing or the snooze is activated

DS1307 Real time clock chip has been sucessfully interfaced.
EDE-1144 Serial keypad encoder has been sucessfully interfaced.

LCD has been sucessfully implemented to display built in characters and basic pixel on off.

Next step will be to implement the IIC bus and interface the realtime clock.

Simple interfacing of the microcontroller has been completed and tested with a simple LED and button program.

The LCD has been recieved and the next step will be to interface it and get it to display something simple.
